✧ Prohibition of obscenity

وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ، قَالَ:

صَرَخَ دِيكٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: اللَّهُمَّ الْعَنْهُ، فَقَالَ ﷺ: « لَا تَسُبَّهُ، وَلَا تَلْعَنْهُ، فَإِنَّهُ يَدْعُو لِلصَّلَاةِ

✧ A rooster crowed in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ, and a man said: 'O Allah, curse it.' The Prophet ﷺ said: «Do not revile it or curse it, for it calls to prayer.»
