✧ Kindness to Parents

وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
« مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصْبِحُ وَوَالِدَاهُ عَنْهُ رَاضِيَانِ، إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ بَابَانِ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ وَاحِدًا فَوَاحِدٌ، وَمَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصْبِحُ وَوَالِدَاهُ عَلَيْهِ سَاخِطَانِ، إِلَّا كَانَ لَهُ بَابَانِ مِنَ النَّارِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ وَاحِدًا فَوَاحِدٌ

✧ “There is no Muslim who wakes up with both parents pleased with him except that he will have two gates of Paradise; and if only one, then one. And there is no Muslim who wakes up with both parents angry with him except that he will have two gates of the Fire; and if only one, then one.”
