وَقَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:

إِنَّ عُمَرَ ؓ أَتَى الْغَائِطَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَأُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ: أَلَا تَتَوَضَّأُ ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا أَسْتَطِيبُ بِشِمَالِي وَآكُلُ بِيَمِينِي

Translation

✧ 'Umar ؓ went to relieve himself, then came out, and food was brought to him. It was said to him, 'Will you not perform ablution?' He said, 'I only clean myself with my left hand and eat with my right hand.'
