✧ Permissibility of Eating What Is Hunted with a Bow, a Dog, and Other Than That

قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ، ثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ سَلْمَى أُمِّ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِذَا أَرْسَلَ الرَّجُلُ صَيْدَهُ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ اسْمَ اللهِ تَعَالَى فَلْيَأْكُلْ مَا لَمْ يَأْكُلْ

✧ When a man sends his hunting animal and then mentions the name of Allah Almighty, let him eat [the game] as long as it has not eaten [from it].
