✧ What Is Disliked to Eat

وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ قَالَ:

إِذَا رَمَيْتَ طَيْرًا فَتَرَدَّى مِنْ جَبَلٍ، فَمَاتَ فَلَا تَطْعَمْهُ، فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ التَّرَدِّي قَتَلَهُ، وَإِذَا رَمَيْتَ طَيْرًا فَوَقَعَ فِي مَاءٍ فَلَا تَطْعَمْهُ، فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ الْمَاءُ قَتَلَهُ

Translation

✧ If you shoot a bird and it falls off a mountain and dies, do not eat it, for I fear the fall killed it. And if you shoot a bird and it falls into water, do not eat it, for I fear the water killed it.
