✧ The rebuke of wearing a garment and trailing it out of pride except out of necessity

- وَقَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ:

إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ ؓ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَجُرُّ إِزَارَهُ، فَقَالَ: ارْفَعْ إِزَارَكَ. قَالَ: إِنِّي حَمْشُ السَّاقَيْنِ

✧ ‘Abdullah ؓ saw a man dragging his waist-wrapper, so he said: Raise your waist-wrapper. He said: I have thin shanks.
