✧ Racing and Archery, and What Has Come About the Virtue of Archery

حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يَرَى بَأْسًا بِالرَّجُلَيْنِ يَتَرَاهَنَانِ بِالسَّبْقِ، وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَتَفَرَّقَا بِذَلِكَ

Translation

✧ He (the Prophet's companion) used to see no harm in two men betting on a race, but he disliked that they should separate (disagree) over that.
