✧ Virtue of one who sees off a mujahid

قَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ، ثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ ؓ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
مَنْ شَيَّعَ غُزَاةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ تَعَالَى حَتَّى يَنْزِلُوا أَوَّلَ مَنْزِلٍ فَيَبِيتُ مَعَهُمْ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلُوا مُوَجَّهِينَ فِي الْجِهَادِ، وَيُقْبِلُ هُوَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَهْلَهُ، كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُ سَبْعِينَ حَجَّةً مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، سِوَى مَا يُشْرِكُهُمْ فِيمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ مِنْ خَيْرٍ.

✧ Whoever sees off warriors in the path of Allah Almighty until they alight at their first stop, and spends the night with them until they depart heading for jihad, and then returns to his family, he will have the reward of seventy pilgrimages with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, besides sharing with them in the good they were engaged in.
