✧ Preventing the Junub from Entering the Mosque

قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي غَنِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ مَحْدُوجٍ الْهُذَلِيِّ، عَنْ جَسْرَةَ، حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ ؓ، قَالَتْ:

خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى صَرْحَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَنَادَى بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ: « أَلَا إِنَّ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِجُنُبٍ وَلَا حَائِضٍ، إِلَّا لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَعَلِيٍّ وَفَاطِمَةَ ؓ، أَلَا هَلْ بَيَّنْتُ لَكُمُ الْأَسْمَاءَ أَنْ تَضِلُّوا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to the courtyard of the mosque and called out at the top of his voice: “Indeed, this mosque is not permissible for a junub or a menstruating woman, except for the Prophet ﷺ, his wives, Ali, and Fatimah ؓ. Have I not made the names clear to you so that you may not go astray?”
