✧ Execution of Triple Divorce with a Single Utterance When Intended

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، قَالَ:
طَلَّقَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَجْدَادِي امْرَأَتَهُ أَلْفًا، فَأَتَى بَنُوهُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: « إِنَّ أَبَاكُمْ لَمْ يَتَقِّ اللهَ فَيَجْعَلَ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا، بَانَتْ مِنْهُ بِثَلَاثٍ. وَسَائِرُهَا عُدْوَانٌ ; اتَّخَذَ آيَاتِ اللهِ هُزُوًا ».

✧ A man among my forefathers divorced his wife a thousand times, so his sons came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: "Indeed your father did not fear Allah, so as to make for him a way out. She is irrevocably separated from him by three [divorces]. And the rest of them are an act of aggression; he took the signs of Allah in mockery."
