✧ Prohibition of Playing with Divorce and Encouragement to Divorce in Accordance with the Sunnah for One Who Wants It

وَقَالَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ؓ، قَالَ:

كَانَ رَجُلٌ يَقُولُ: قَدْ طَلَّقْتُكِ، قَدْ رَاجَعْتُكِ. فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: « مَا بَالُ رِجَالٍ يَلْعَبُونَ بِحُدُودِ اللهِ تَعَالَى !

Translation

✧ There was a man who kept saying, 'I have divorced you, I have taken you back.' This reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: 'What is the matter with men who play with the limits of Allah Almighty!'
