✧ I stood with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a night of Ramadan. He got up to perform ghusl while I screened him. Some water remained in the vessel, and he said: “If you wish, pour it out, or if you wish, pour it over yourself.” I said: “O Messenger of Allah, this leftover water is dearer to me than what I would pour over myself.” He said: “So I performed ghusl with it, and he ﷺ screened me. I said: “Do not screen me!” He ﷺ said: “Rather, I screened you just as you screened me.”
