وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ:

مَا أَعْتَقَ الرَّجُلُ مِنْ رَقِيقَةِ مَرَضِهِ فَهُوَ وَصِيَّةٌ، إِنْ شَاءَ رَجَعَ فِيهَا

Translation

✧ Whatever a man manumits of his slaves during his illness, that is a bequest; if he wishes, he may revoke it.
