مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبِي غَطَفَانَ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ:

مَنْ وَهَبَ هِبَةً لِصِلَةِ رَحِمٍ أَوْ عَلَى وَجْهِ الصَّدَقَةِ، فَهِيَ جَائِزَةٌ، وَمَنْ وَهَبَ هِبَةً يَرَى أَنَّهُ إِنَّمَا أَرَادَ الثَّوَابَ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا إِنْ يُرْضَ مِنْهَا

✧ Whoever gives a gift to maintain ties of kinship or as charity, it is valid. But whoever gives a gift expecting something in return, he is more entitled to it if he is not satisfied with what he receives.
