✧ Umar ؓ gave me a servant, and Abdullah said, 'Will you sell her?' She said, 'I would not sell you a servant that the Commander of the Faithful gave me.' He kept at her until he bought her from her, and stipulated for her her service until she buys a servant. A spy informed Umar ؓ of that, so he went to him in the evening or morning. Umar ؓ said to him, 'I have heard that you bought the slave girl of Zaynab!' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Then do not approach her, and no one has any right in her.'
