✧ Blessing in Early Morning

وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نِسْطَاسٍ مَوْلَى كَثِيرِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

وَلَيْسَ الْغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ الْعَرَضِ، وَلَكِنَّ الْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ، وَإِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى يُؤْتِي عَبْدَهُ مَا كَتَبَ لَهُ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ، فَأَجْمِلُوا فِي الطَّلَبِ، خُذُوا مَا حَلَّ، وَدَعُوا مَا حَرُمَ

✧ Wealth is not from abundance of worldly goods, but wealth is self-sufficiency. Allah, the Exalted, gives His servant what He has decreed for him of provision, so be moderate in seeking. Take what is lawful and leave what is forbidden.
