✧ Ablution after Eating What Fire Has Touched and the Clarification of Its Abrogation

حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى، ثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ:
إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَى ابْنَتِهِ فَاطِمَةَ ؓ، فَقَرَّبَتْ إِلَيْهِ لَحْمًا فَأَكَلَ، فَلَمَّا قَامَ أَخَذَتْ ؓ بِرِدَائِهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ: أَلَا تَتَوَضَّأُ ؟ فَقَالَ ﷺ: « مِمَّ يَا بُنَيَّةُ ؟ » فَقَالَتْ ؓ: مِمَّا غَيَّرَتِ النَّارُ. فَقَالَ ﷺ: « أَوَلَيْسَ أَطْهَرُ طَعَامِنَا مِمَّا غَيَّرَتِ النَّارُ ؟

✧ The Prophet ﷺ entered upon his daughter Fatimah ؓ, and she brought him some meat and he ate. When he got up, she ؓ took hold of his cloak ﷺ and said: Will you not perform ablution? He ﷺ said: "From what, my little daughter?" She ؓ said: From that which the fire has changed. He ﷺ said: "Is not the purest of our food that which the fire has changed?"
