مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ؓ قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَبْعَثُ بِالْهَدْيِ، فَيَأْمُرُ الَّذِي يَبْعَثُهُ مَعَهُ إِنْ عَطِبَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ أَنْ يَنْحَرَهُ، وَيَصْبُغَ نَعْلَهُ فِي دَمِهِ، ثُمَّ يَضْرِبَ بِهِ صَفْحَتَهُ، وَلْيَأْكُلْهُ مَنْ بَعْدَكَ، وَلَا تَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ أَنْتَ شَيْئًا، وَلَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ رُفْقَتِكَ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to send the hadi, and he would instruct the one he sent with it that if any of it became disabled, he should slaughter it, dip its sandal in its blood, then strike its side with it, and let those after you eat from it, but you should not eat any of it, nor anyone from your traveling companions.
