✧ The Prohibition of Fasting the Days of Tashriq

[1] وَقَالَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ: حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ هُوَ ابْنُ صُبَيْحٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ هُوَ الرَّقَاشِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ، قَالَ:

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَوْمِ سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ السَّنَةِ، ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ التَّشْرِيقِ، وَيَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ، وَيَوْمِ الْأَضْحَى، وَيَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ، مُخْتَصَّةً مِنَ الْأَيَّامِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade fasting six days of the year: three days of Tashriq, the day of Fitr, the day of Adha, and Friday singled out among the days.
