✧ The Banu Abdul-Muttalib walked to al-Abbas ؓ and said: Speak to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for us, so that he may assign to us what he assigns to the people of this si'aya and other than it. While they were thus conferring, Ali b. Abi Talib ؓ came, and al-Abbas ؓ called him and said: Your people and the sons of your uncle have gathered, would you speak to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for them so that he may assign them the si'aya? Ali ؓ said: Allah, Most High, has refused for you, O Banu Abdul-Muttalib, to feed you the filth of people's hands. Rabi'a b. al-Harith said: Leave this one, for you will have no good from him.
