The Virtues of Remembrance (Dhikr)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ رُزَيْقٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الأَغَرِّ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ يَشْهَدَانِ بِهِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

مَا جَلَسَ قَوْمٌ مَجْلِسًا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ فِيهِ إِلاَّ حَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَتَغَشَّتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَتَنَزَّلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ

"No people sit in a gathering remembering Allah, But the angels surround them, mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them and Allah remembers them before those who are with Him."
