machine translationAl-Khaṭṭābī mentioned that there is some criticism concerning its chain of transmission, and when a hadith is narrated by an unknown man (majhūl), it is not a proof and it is not obligatory to rule by it.

  • ʿAbd al-ʿAẓīm al-Mudhirī

machine translationThere is weakness (ḍaʿf) in it, for this Abū al-Mundhir is unknown (majhūl); no one narrated from him except Isḥāq b. ʿAbdullāh b. Abī Ṭalḥah.
