أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَبْصَرَ نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَحَكَّهَا بِحَصَاةٍ، وَنَهَى أَنْ يَبْزُقَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَقَالَ: " لِيَبْزُقْ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ الْيُسْرَى

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw phlegm in the qiblah of the mosque, so he scraped it with a pebble and forbade a man from spitting in front of him or to his right, and he said: 'Let him spit to his left or under his left foot.'
