أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ:

أَرْسَلَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ إِلَى أَبِي جُهَيْمٍ، أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الْمَارِّ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْمُصَلِّي، مَاذَا عَلَيْهِ ؟ [قَالَ]: لَوْ كَانَ أَنْ يَقُومَ أَرْبَعِينَ، خَيْرًا لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمُرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ

✧ Zayd b. Khalid sent me to Abu Juhaym to ask him about the one passing in front of one praying: What is upon him? [He] said: If he were to stand for forty, that would be better for him than passing in front of him.
