✧ While the Messenger of God ﷺ was prostrating and around him were people from Quraysh, ʿUqbah b. Abī Muʿayṭ came with the placenta of a slaughtered camel and threw it on the Messenger of God ﷺ, but he did not raise his head. Then Fāṭimah came, removed it from his back, and supplicated against those who did that. He said: "O God, against you are the chiefs of Quraysh: Abū Jahl b. Hishām, ʿUtbah b. Rabīʿah, Shaybah b. Rabīʿah, ʿUqbah b. Abī Muʿayṭ, and Umayyah b. Khalaf or Ubayy b. Khalaf" – Shuʿbah was the one uncertain – he said: "I saw them killed on the Day of Badr and thrown into a well, except that Umayyah or Ubayy had his limbs torn apart, so he was not thrown into the well."
