أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ قَالَ:

سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، قُلْتُ: أَكُونُ فِي الصَّيْدِ وَلَيْسَ عَلَيَّ إِلَّا قَمِيصٌ وَاحِدٌ أَوْ جُبَّةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَأَزُرُّ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، وَلَوْ بِشَوْكَةٍ. قَالَ أَحْمَدُ مَرَّةً: فَقَالَ: " زُرَّهُ وَلَوْ بِشَوْكَةٍ

✧ I asked the Prophet ﷺ, saying, 'I am out hunting and I have on only a single shirt or a single jubbah; should I button it?' He said, 'Yes, even with a thorn.' Ahmad said once: He said, 'Button it, even with a thorn.'
