أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ - وَهَذَا حَدِيثُ بُنْدَارٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمَدَنِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبَّاسُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ قَالَ:
اجْتَمَعَ أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ، وَأَبُو أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ، وَسَهْلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، فَقَالَ أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ: أَنَا أَعْلَمُكُمُ بِصَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ، وَقَالَ: " جَلَسَ فَافْتَرَشَ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى، وَأَقْبَلَ بِصَدْرِ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى قِبْلَتِهِ، وَوَضَعَ كَفَّهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَكَفَّهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ الْيُسْرَى، وَأَشَارَ بِأُصْبَعِهِ السَّبَّابَةِ

✧ Abu Humayd As-Sa'idi, Abu Usayd As-Sa'idi, Sahl b. Sa'd, and Muhammad b. Maslamah gathered, and Abu Humayd said: "I know best among you the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." He mentioned the hadith in full and said: "He sat and spread his left leg, turned the sole of his right foot toward his qiblah, placed his right palm on his right knee and his left palm on his left knee, and pointed with his index finger."

Sulaymān al-Madanī, although the authors of the six books narrated from him and he is among the great scholars, has been criticized. He was graded weak (ḍaʿīf) by al-Nasāʾī, Ibn Maʿīn, Abū Ḥātim, Abū Dāwūd, Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān and al-Sājī. Al-Dāraquṭnī and Ibn ʿAdī said: There is no harm in him (lā baʾsa bihi).

رواه الحسن بن الحر عن عيسى بن عبد الله بن مالك عن محمد بن عمرو بن عطاء عن العباس بن سهل بن سعد عن أبي حميد الساعدي عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بمثل حديث عبد الحميد بن جعفر والحديث أصله صحيح لأن فليح بن سليمان قد رواه عن العباس بن سهل عن أبي حميد الساعدي قال أبي فصار الحديث مرسلا

Saʿd, from Abū Ḥumayd al-Sāʿidī, from the Prophet ﷺ, like the hadith of ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd b. Jaʿfar. The hadith is originally sound (ṣaḥīḥ), because Fulayḥ b. Sulaymān narrated it from al-ʿAbbās b. Sahl, from Abū Ḥumayd al-Sāʿidī. My father said: So the hadith became mursal.
