✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a wall from the walls of Makkah or Madinah and heard the voices of two persons being tormented in their graves. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They are being tormented, and they are not tormented for a major sin." Then he said, "Yes, one of them did not screen himself from his urine, and the other used to walk around spreading malicious gossip." Then he called for a leaf-stalk and broke it into two pieces, and he placed a piece on each of their graves. It was said to him, "Why did you do this?" He said, "Perhaps it will be lightened for them as long as they do not dry up — or until they dry up."
