✧ A Jew entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'Al-samu 'alayka, O Muhammad.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'And upon you.' Aisha said: I wanted to speak, but I knew the Prophet's ﷺ dislike of that, so I remained silent. Then another entered and said: 'Al-samu 'alayka.' He said: 'Upon you.' I wanted to speak, but I knew the Prophet's ﷺ dislike of that. Then the third entered and said: 'Al-samu 'alayka.' I could not restrain myself until I said: 'And upon you be sam and the wrath of Allah and His curse, O brothers of apes and pigs! Do you greet the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with what Allah has not greeted him?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Allah does not love obscenity or obscene behavior. They said something, so we responded to them. The Jews are an envious people, and they do not envy us for anything as they envy us for the salam and for Amin.'
