أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَسْرُوقِيُّ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ الْمُوَفَّقِ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - ﷺ

كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةِ الْغَدَاةِ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وَ: قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ. هَذَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي الزَّرْقَاءِ. وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ، أَمِنَ الْقُرْآنِ هُمَا ؟ فَأَمَّنَا بِهِمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ

✧ He used to recite in the dawn prayer Qul Aʿūdhu bi-Rabb al-Falaq and Qul Aʿūdhu bi-Rabb al-Nās. This is the wording of the ḥadīth of Yazīd b. Abī al-Zarqāʾ. In the ḥadīth of Abū Usāmah he said: I asked the Messenger of God ﷺ about the Muʿawwidhatayn, whether they are part of the Qurʾān. So the Messenger of God ﷺ led us with them in the dawn prayer.
