machine translationThere is disagreement about the chain of transmission (isnād) of this ḥadīth of Jubayr. Shuʿbah narrated it from ʿAmr b. Murrah, from ʿĀṣim al-ʿAnazī, from the son of Jubayr b. Muṭʿim, from his father. Ḥuṣayn b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated it from ʿAmr b. Murrah and said: from ʿAbbād b. ʿĀṣim, from Nāfiʿ b. Jubayr b. Muṭʿim, from his father. ʿĀṣim al-ʿAnazī and ʿAbbād b. ʿĀṣim are both unknown (majhūl); we do not know who they are, nor do we know which is correct, what Ḥuṣayn narrated or what Shuʿbah narrated.
