أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحْرِزٍ - أَصْلُهُ بَغْدَادِيٌّ - بِالْفُسْطَاطِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

الْفَجْرُ فَجْرَانِ فَجْرٌ يَحْرُمُ فِيهِ الطَّعَامُ وَيَحِلُّ فِيهِ الصَّلَاةُ، وَفَجْرٌ يَحْرُمُ فِيهِ الصَّلَاةُ وَيَحِلُّ فِيهِ الطَّعَامُ

✧ Dawn is of two kinds: a dawn in which food is forbidden and prayer is permitted, and a dawn in which prayer is forbidden and food is permitted.
