✧ The recommendation of delaying the night prayer when a person does not fear falling asleep before it

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:

أَعْتَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْعِشَاءِ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، فَنَادَاهُ عُمَرُ فَقَالَ: نَامَ النِّسَاءُ وَالصِّبْيَانُ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ: مَا يَنْتَظِرُ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ غَيْرُكُمْ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ delayed the night prayer (al-ʿisha) one night, so Umar called out to him and said: The women and children have slept. He came out to them and said: No one on earth is waiting for this prayer except you.
