✧ The oath to walk to the Ka'bah when the one who swears becomes unable to walk

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى - يَعْنِي ابْنَ آدَمَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ
فِي الرَّجُلِ يَحْلِفُ بِالْمَشْيِ، فَيَعْجَزُ فَيَرْكَبُ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَحُجُّ مِنْ قَابِلٍ فَيَرْكَبُ مَا شَاءَ، وَيَمْشِي مَا شَاءَ وَيَرْكَبُ

✧ About a man who swears an oath to walk and then becomes unable and rides. He said: Ibn ʿAbbas said: He performs Hajj the following year and may ride as much as he wishes and walk as much as he wishes and ride.
