✧ Vowing to perform Hajj walking, then the one who vowed becomes unable to walk

ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ فَيَّاضٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا يُهَادَى بَيْنَ ابْنَيْهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " مَا هَذَا ؟ " قَالُوا: نَذَرَ أَنْ يَمْشِيَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ. قَالَ: إِنَّ اللهَ عَنْ تَعْذِيبِ هَذَا نَفْسَهُ لَغَنِيٌّ، قَالَ: فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَرْكَبَ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ saw an old man being supported between his two sons, so the Messenger of God ﷺ said: "What is this?" They said: He has vowed to walk to the House. He said: "God is surely free from need for this man to torment himself." He said: So he ordered him to ride.
