✧ Humility in the Ka'bah when one enters it, and looking at one's place of prostration until leaving it

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ اللَّخْمِيُّ التِّنِّيسِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَكِّيُّ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، كَانَتْ تَقُولُ: عَجَبًا لِلْمَرْءِ الْمُسْلِمِ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ كَيْفَ يَرْفَعُ بَصَرَهُ قِبَلَ السَّقْفِ، يَدَعُ ذَلِكَ إِجْلَالًا لِلهِ وَإِعْظَامًا، دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْكَعْبَةَ مَا خَلَفَ بَصَرُهُ مَوْضِعَ سُجُودِهِ حَتَّى خَرَجَ مِنْهَا

✧ That ʿĀʾishah used to say: It is astonishing for a Muslim man, when he enters the Kaʿbah, how he raises his gaze toward the ceiling, leaving that aside out of reverence for Allah and magnification. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the Kaʿbah, and his gaze did not leave the place of his prostration until he came out of it.
