✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ at al-Abtah while he was in a red dome of his. He said: Then Bilal came out with the leftover water of his ablution, and some people got some of it and others were sprinkled with it. Then Bilal called the adhan, and I began to follow his mouth like this and like this, meaning right and left. He said: Then a short spear was planted for him, and the Prophet ﷺ came out wearing a red jubbah or a red hullah of his, and it is as if I am looking at the gleam of his shins. He prayed facing the short spear, Zuhr or Asr, two rak'ahs, while a woman, a donkey, and a dog passed beyond it without being prevented. Then he continued to pray two rak'ahs until he reached Madinah.

machine translationGood and sound (ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ). Mughulṭāy said: This is not a declaration of soundness for the ḥadīth of Ḥajjāj; rather he meant to declare sound the ḥadīth of Abū Juḥayfah in itself, and likewise it is sound in its origin.
