✧ I entered with ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAmr b. al-ʿĀṣ upon his father during the Days of Tashrīq, and he was having lunch. He invited us to food, but ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAmr said to him: I am fasting. ʿAmr said to him: Do you not know that these are the days in which the Messenger of God ﷺ forbade fasting and commanded breaking the fast? So he ordered them, and they broke their fast.
