✧ Recommendation of a person slaughtering his sacrifice with his own hand

ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: أَتَيْنَا جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:
فَنَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِهِ ثَلَاثَةً وَسِتِّينَ - يَعْنِي بَدَنَةً -، فَأَعْطَى عَلِيًّا، فَنَحَرَ مَا غَبَرَ
Translation

✧ So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered with his own hand sixty-three - meaning camels - then he gave 'Ali the remainder, and he slaughtered what was left.
