✧ Permissibility of throwing the pebbles on the Day of Sacrifice while riding

أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ الْفَقِيهُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُسْلِمِ السُّلَمِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ الْأُسْتَاذُ الْإِمَامُ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الصَّابُونِيُّ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، [قَالَ ]: أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ؛ ( ح ) وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، [قَالَ ]: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، [قَالَ ]: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ:

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْمِي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ، وَقَالَ لَنَا: خُذُوا مَنَاسِكَكُمْ، فَإِنِّي لَا أَدْرِي لَعَلِّي لَا أَحُجُّ بَعْدَ حَجَّتِي هَذِهِ

✧ I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ throwing pebbles while mounted on his riding camel on the Day of Sacrifice, and he said to us: “Take your rites from me, for I do not know whether I will perform Ḥajj after this Ḥajj of mine.”
