✧ Leaving Voluntary Prayer Between the Two Prayers When Combining Them at Muzdalifah

حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْغَافِقِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ قَالَ:
جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ بِجَمْعٍ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهُمَا سَجْدَةٌ، صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ثَلَاثَ رَكَعَاتٍ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ يُصَلِّي بِجَمْعٍ كَذَلِكَ حَتَّى لَحِقَ بِاللهِ

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ combined Maghrib and Isha at Jam' with no prayer between them. He prayed Maghrib as three rak'ahs, then prayed Isha as two rak'ahs. And Abdullah used to pray at Jam' likewise until he met God.
