✧ Seeking Refuge at the Standing Place from Showing Off and Seeking Reputation in Hajj

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الْكِنَانِيُّ، مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ مَوَالِيهِمْ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ قُدَامَةَ الضِّبَابِيِّ قَالَ:
أَبْصَرَتْ عَيْنَايَ حِبِّي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَاقِفًا بِعَرَفَاتٍ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ لَهُ حَمْرَاءَ قَصْوَاءُ، وَتَحْتَهُ قَطِيفَةٌ بَوْلَانِيَّةٌ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ حَجًّا غَيْرَ رِيَاءٍ وَلَا هِيَاءٍ وَلَا سُمْعَةٍ

✧ My two eyes beheld my beloved, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, standing at 'Arafat on a red camel of his, short and sturdy, with a Bolani velvet cloth beneath him, and he was saying: O Allah, make it a Hajj with no showing off, no ostentation, and no seeking of reputation.
