✧ Raising the Hands in Supplication When Standing at Arafah

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، [قَالَ ]: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءٌ قَالَ: قَالَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ:
كُنْتُ رِدْفَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِعَرَفَاتٍ، فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَمَالَتْ بِهِ نَاقَتُهُ فَسَقَطَ خِطَامُهَا، فَتَنَاوَلَ الْخِطَامَ بِإِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ، وَهُوَ رَافِعٌ يَدَهُ الْأُخْرَى
Translation

✧ I was riding behind the Prophet ﷺ at ʿArafāt. He raised his hands, and his she-camel swayed with him, and her nose-rein fell. He took hold of the nose-rein with one of his hands while still raising the other hand.
