✧ A man from Quraysh said to 'Abd Allah b. 'Amr: I am weak in family and beasts of burden; our only beasts of burden are these slow-moving donkeys. May I depart from Jam' at night? He said: As for Ibrahim, he spent the night at Mina until morning came and the edge of the sun rose, then he traveled to Arafah until he alighted at his stopping place there—and Mu'ammal said: his stopping place at Arafah. They said: Then he went forth and stood at his standing place there—and Mu'ammal said: at it. They said: Until the sun set, he departed, and came to Jam'. Ziyad said: Then he alighted at his stopping place there, and Mu'ammal said: at it. They said: Then he spent the night there until when it was time for the early Subh prayer, he stood until when it was time for the bright Subh prayer, he departed. That is the way of your father Ibrahim, and your Prophet ﷺ has been commanded to follow him.
