Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 3036

✧ The Prophet performed Sa'i between Safa and Marwa in the middle of the valley, not the rest of the area between them

قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي سُرَيْجٍ الرَّازِيِّ، أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ مُجَمِّعٍ أَخْبَرَهُمْ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا اسْتَوَتْ بِهِ رَاحِلَتُهُ عِنْدَ مَسْجِدِ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ فِي [حَجَّةٍ أَوْ عُمْرَةٍ] أَهَلَّ. فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ، وَقَالَ: ثُمَّ أَتَى الصَّفَا فَسَعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ سَبْعًا، فَإِذَا مَرَّ بِالْمَسْعَى سَعَى

✧ When his mount stood upright with him at the mosque of Dhul-Hulayfah in a Hajj or 'Umrah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered ihram. He mentioned the hadith, and said: Then he came to Safa and performed Sa'i between Safa and Marwa seven times, and when he passed through the course, he ran.
