✧ Permissibility of the muhrim changing his clothes while in ihram

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، [قَالَ ]: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، [قَالَ ]: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ:

كُنَّا نَلْبَسُ إِذَا أَهْلَلْنَا مَا لَمْ يَمَسَّهُ طِيبٌ وَلَا زَعْفَرَانٌ، وَنَلْبَسُ الْمُمَشَّقَ إِنَّمَا هُوَ طِينٌ

Translation

✧ When we entered ihram, we would wear what had not been touched by perfume or saffron, and we would wear the dyed garment—it is only clay.
