✧ The collective chapters on the ghusl of purification and that which is desirable, without obligation or requirement

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَاهُ بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي قَيْسٍ حَدَّثَهُ بِمِثْلِهِ، وَقَالَ:

رُبَّمَا تَوَضَّأَ وَنَامَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ، فَقُلْتُ: الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الْأَمْرِ سَعَةً

✧ He would sometimes perform wudu' and sleep before performing ghusl, so I said: Praise be to Allah who has made the matter expansive.
