✧ The Miqats for Those Who Pass Through Them

حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْجَزَرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ غُنْدَرٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، [قَالَ ]: أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:

وَقَّتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ، وَلِأَهْلِ الشَّامِ الْجُحْفَةَ، وَلِأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ قَرْنًا، وَلِأَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ يَلَمْلَمَ. قَالَ: هِيَ لَهُمْ وَلِمَنْ أَتَى عَلَيْهِنَّ مِمَّنْ سِوَاهُمْ مِمَّنْ أَرَادَ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ، ثُمَّ [مِنْ حَيْثُ] بَدَأَ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ ذَلِكَ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ designated Dhul-Hulaifah for the people of Madinah, al-Juhfah for the people of Sham, Qarn for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. He said: These are for them and for those who come upon them from other than them, among those who intend Hajj and Umrah. Then from where one begins until that reaches the people of Makkah.
