✧ Whoever drives a voluntary sacrificial animal and it becomes disabled, he should not eat from it; for if he eats from it, he must replace it. But let him slaughter it, then dip its sandal in its blood, then strike it on its side. If it was an obligatory sacrificial animal, then let him eat if he wishes; for he must still fulfill it.
