✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he went on a military expedition or traveled and night overtook him, would say: 'O earth, my Lord and your Lord is Allah. I seek refuge in Allah from your evil and the evil of what is in you, and the evil of what has been created in you, and the evil of what creeps upon you. I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of every lion, and [every] black snake, and [every] serpent, and [every] scorpion, and from the inhabitants of the land, and from the evil of a parent and what he begets.'
